Finding us is easy. Follow the signs to Hudayriyat Island, cross Hudayriat Bridge, then look for the blue surfboard sign that’ll point you towards Surf Abu Dhabi. Close enough for a lunch‑break surf, far enough to feel like a quick escape. First, a quick bit of housekeeping - directions, parking, hours, gear, the lay of the land. Parking and access
There's plenty of free parking at Surf Abu Dhabi. The main parking areas are located next to the Surf Club, Surf Station and Nalu. On busy days, additional spaces are available next to Ilios Beach Club, and valet parking is available on weekends and for events.
Opening hours
The Surf Club and Surf Station are open from 7 AM to 10 PM. For Nalu Restaurant or Ilios Beach Club different operating hours might apply. We strongly recommend making a reservation in advance.
What to bring
Essential: Swimwear (that's it!)
We Provide Everything Else: Surfboards*, wetsuits and life jackets (if needed), surf accessories (leash, fins, wax), sun protection, towels, drinking water.
Optional: Bring your own gear if you prefer, or visit our retail store for a wide selection of surfboards, wetsuits, swimwear, clothing, accessories and merch.
*We provide soft tops for beginners and performance boards for intermediates & advanced.
The lay of the land
Before your session
Please arrive at least 1 hour before your session for check-in at the Surf Club. There you’ll find lockers, gym, showers, and the best view in the house from the upstairs lounge. Once you're settled, you’ll be introduced to your coach & surf guides, and we'll run you through safety briefings, housekeeping and get you sorted with surfboards & gear.
Discovery Sessions & Open Surf for beginners and intermediates are for anyone, 8 years or older, and Open Surf for advanced is 12 years and up.
After your session
Hit the showers and changing areas, stash your stuff in lockers, then enjoy pool and lounge access for the day. When hunger hits, grab front-row tables at Nalu for Latin-Asian plates with laid-back playlists, or head to Ilios Beach Club for poolside beats, Mediterranean-Japanese flavours, and sunset cocktails.
